PinkTie.org Presents: The Doc Gooden “K’s for a Kause” Challenge Thursday, Sept. 18th

Long Island’s heavy hitters will take their swing at hitting a home-run pitched by none other than 3x World Series Champion and Cy Young Award Winner, Doc Gooden, all while raising money for charity.

On September 18th, approximately 15 of Long Island’s top CEOs and business professionals, along with Nassau County Executive, Ed Mangano, Suffolk County Executive, Steve Bellone, the Town of Islip Supervisor, Tom Croci and Gregory Zeller, editor of Long Island Business News, will compete in a home-run challenge against Doc Gooden, 3x World Series Champion and Cy Young Award Winner, at Ducks Stadium in Central Islip. Participants will raise a minimum of $5,000 for charity in order to compete and the winner of the challenge will choose which cause they would like to see benefited by the funds raised.

Long Island Business News is the media sponsor for this event, lending their support in terms of awareness, promotions, and editorial coverage of the event and the top money raising sponsors.

Founded on the premise that breast cancer is an all too familiar threat on Long Island, impacting about everyone in one way or another, PinkTie.org’s vision is to find creative ways to bring their vast real estate network together, in support of education and research for the for the fight against breast cancer. In order to do this, PinkTie.org aligns their efforts with charities that make the most direct impact on Long Island, and acts as a vessel to raise funds and awareness for these said charities. After raising over a quarter-million dollars in April of 2014 for breast cancer awareness and development, PinkTie.org has branched out to support a myriad of causes that affect the Long Island community, under their new initiative, PinkTie1000.
